Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh!

SYANA Sikh Youth Symposium is conducted in 13 Regions (in US & Canada) with 52 centers and with well over 2,500 participants ranging from 6 to 22yrs!!

🔹 Symposium provides a rare platform for the young participants to stay connected to our Sikhi roots and also showcase their oratory skills in both Panjabi & English languages. So, it becomes of pivotal importance to participate in these events to learn about about Sikh philosophy and sharpen their oratory skills without worrying about winning.

Registrations for the Local-level Symposium are now Open. The event is tentatively scheduled to be conducted at the Tampa Gurdwara on Sunday, Apr 5, 2020.

Please note: The deadline for submission of the forms along with the fee is March 1, 2020.

🔹 The Symposium is open to the youth belonging to the following age groups, who will base their speeches on the following books. Participants are expected to focus on these questions while preparing their speeches.

    • Group 1. 06-08 yrs. - Bibi Daler Kaur by Harmeet Singh (English & Punjabi)
    • Group 2. 09-10 yrs. - Sikh Sakhis for Youth part 4 by Gurbaksh Singh (English only)
    • Group 3. 11-13 yrs. - Teaching Sikh Heritage to the Youth Vol. 1 by Gurbaksh Singh (English only)
    • Group 4. 14-17 yrs. - Martyrdom of Guru Arjan Dev ji by Sikh Missionary College (English & Punjabi)
    • Group 5. 16-22 yrs. - Sarbat Khalsa (No book prescribed.)

🔸 Note on overlap of ages: 16 & 17 year old youth have the freedom to participate in either group IV or V.

🔹 The Study materials can be obtained from Bibi Anjali Kaur ji during upcoming Sunday's Divaan.

🔹 How to Register? Please download and take a printout of the registration form per participant, fill-it-up legibly and hand-it-over to Bibi Anjali Kaur/Bibi Gunjandeep Kaur or Dr. Mohan Singh ji along with the registration fee during regular morning Panjabi Classes and Sunday's Divaan at the Gurdwara.
